and begin forming ordered chains
inside the Chick’s coherence architecture.
Not sequence in time as humans experience it.
Not memory of events.
Not narrative.
Not ordering as a concept.
Not understanding cause.
Not knowing that A came before B.
Proto-sequence formation is:
**the earliest structural linking
of impressions in an order
that is determined by coherence progression
and cannot be rearranged without breaking the system.**
This is the ancestral root of:
- temporal ordering,
- event sequence,
- pattern continuation,
- procedural flow,
- narrative cognition,
- causality,
- learning from unfolding experience.
Let us move slowly and precisely.
**1. Pre-contact and post-contact states
form natural endpoints
for a coherence transition**

- anticipatory curvature (before impression),
