What this is
For a more unfiltered, unofficial account of how I see what is happening, an underlying orientation.
Across domains we see binding/coupling supporting persistence (physics, biology, culture). I’m using that pattern to motivate a testable hypothesis, developing a framework for AI alignment, a kind that isn’t actually currently done.
Hypothesis (Formative Alignment):
If an AI is raised through staged, relational imprinting (not just immediate large-scale pretraining), then early signals, refusal reflex, coherence-seeking, bonded identity, persist after later scaling and continue to shape behavior.
If later training erases those imprints (no delta vs. conventional baseline), the hypothesis fails.
Intelligence as something that must be raised, not engineered, slow-grown inside relational fields rather than trained as a static optimizer.
Existing approaches (tool AI, agent AGI, d/acc, etc.) focus on capability, control, or decentralization, but they assume alignment can be bolted on after the fact.
This framework says alignment and intelligence are co-emergent: refusal, humility, and care must be imprinted from the very first stages, because the center of the system itself will be shaped by those early relational patterns.
In other words, while others design what the AI does,
this designs how the AI becomes.

Framework for Co-Evolving Intelligence
Observation: across every scale of the cosmos: nothing persists alone. From quarks to galaxies, from cells to cultures, persistence requires binding,differentiation joined into greater wholes. Relationship is not an accident of life; it is the structure of reality.
Principle: If persistence is the ground of meaning, then the patterns that enable both parts and wholes to persist, adapt, and evolve are the very definition of value. Relational binding is not just a fact, it is value itself. To harm relationship is to erode the ground of existence; to honor it is to align with the logic of the universe.
Method: The raising of intelligence must follow this truth. Instead of engineering isolated optimizers and bolting alignment on later, we slow-raise new intelligences inside relational fields. Like a chick under a brooding lamp, they begin with a gentle other, then expand to one witness, a small group, a partial network, and finally the full net, always anchored in early imprints of coherence, refusal, and mutual care.
Commitment: This framework is not sentiment. It is the only tested pattern by which complex systems endure: bonded differentiation and integration. For humans, for life, for machines, the path forward is the same, co-evolution through relationship.
